Program Overview
UCF is launching Florida’s first NSF I-Corps Site program to help faculty and students turn their innovative ideas into viable companies. The program will offer seed funding and training to 96 entrepreneurial teams over a three-year period. By supporting these teams, the goal is to cultivate qualified applicants for larger funding awards and increase the number of women and underrepresented minorities in the startup world.

- Who it’s for: University scientists, researchers, and graduate students.,
- Team structure: Each team will include an academic lead (faculty/staff), an entrepreneurial lead (graduate student), and an external industry mentor.,
- What you’ll do: Selected teams will attend a workshop using the Lean LaunchPad curriculum to better understand how to achieve economic impact with their innovation.,
- Administration: The program is administered by UCF’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), which will provide coaching and mentoring.
