UCF I-Corps Cohorts are typically faculty or student-led teams that are associated with UCF or other Florida universities who are interested in the opportunity to explore turning their laboratory inventions into startups. Over a series of weeks, teams are guided by an experienced entrepreneur mentor and nationally-certified teaching team utilizing the NSF I-Corps curriculum to test hypothesis about the business potential. At the end of the program, each team has learned a methodology and approach for customer discovery and has alternative paths available to continue to pursue a new venture development.
UCF I-Corps Community Affiliate Cohorts consist of entrepreneurs who are clients of a business incubator or accelerator program that is a UCF I-Corps Community Affiliate. Entrepreneurs in the UCF I-Corps Community Affiliate program receive training and guidance from experienced entrepreneur mentors and trained staff utilizing the NSF I-Corps methodology and approach to test and validate assumptions about their customers and value propositions.
