UCF I-Corps is partnering with HEALinc Health Innovation Incubator to provide a unique international opportunity!

Upcoming Cohorts

ABOUT

Make the time to join a select group of entrepreneurs and innovators to learn the Lean Startup methodology and the Customer Discovery process …tools of evidence-based entrepreneurship developed by Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur and Stanford professor Steve Blank and adapted for this program.

  • If you are one of the lucky teams chosen to participate in the upcoming May cohort, starting on May 11, you will be invited to use your I-Corps grant money as a travel stipend aboard the Norwegian Sun for an intensive, 3-day international experience.  The HEALinc and SingularityU’s Nassau Chapter, led by Dr. Desiree Cox, MD, PhD, will be joining us.  The cohort will continue at UCF and will follow the traditional I-Corps structure.
  • This five-week curriculum will give you all the same great benefits of learning the Lean Startup methodology, plus you will hear from international experts on Design Thinking, Hacking for Health, the application for disaster recovery, sustainability, and other areas of life science. Developments that follow a social entrepreneurship approach and apply the Mission Model Canvas to a problem with global impact will also be considered. While this cohort is not exclusively dedicated to these areas, preference will be given to entrepreneurial teams with an idea in these areas.

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE

  • Team up with international collaborators to help discover additional perspectives as you pursue your products and solutions.
  • The cruise intensive model provides an excellent opportunity for problem definition, customer discovery, and partnership with HEALInc (HEALTH Innovation Incubator), led by Dr. Desiree Cox.

If you think you have a great idea, and want to kick off the end of your spring term with a unique learning experience tied to the award winning, National Science Foundation I-Corps program, submit your application by clicking the link below or contact icorps@ucf.edu for more information. Applicants will be pre-screened in the weeks before the cruise to provide ample time for logistics and preparation to purchase your cruise fare and ensure your spot.
